Grown in Kagoshima, the lush southern tip of Japan, Tamiya's Sencha is an exceptionally clean, balanced, and umami green tea that gyokuro drinkers can appreciate. The distinct taste comes from the harumoegi cultivar, which is high in amino acids and low in tannins.
Tamiya-san only grows 60 kg of harumoegi annually, and this particular batch is shincha, or the first harvest of the year.
