This experience is recommended for tea drinkers of all levels. It's an opportunity to drink specialty teas from under-represented tea regions and original blends that we develop at PARU Tea Lab. PARU Founder Amy Truong will guide you through the experience and careful preparation of up to four seasonal teas.
If you have any requests or if you're celebrating a special occasion, please let us know in advance so that we can prepare for your visit.
Pricing
Each Private Tea Experience reservation is a flat rate of $150 total and will be due at booking. This fee accommodates up to four (4) individuals, and the session lasts approximately 45 minutes. Please reach out to us at hello@paruteabar.com for options for larger groups.
Private Tea Experience: Omakase
Get treated to the founder’s favorites and get a better understanding of what makes these teas special. This option may cover a wide range of tea types and flavors. Please make note in your reservation if there are any allergies or flavors we should steer away from.
Our Private Tea Experiences will continue to be intimate, educational experiences featuring a seasonal selection of teas for guests to discuss and taste.

Honoring a Digital-Free Zone
During the experience, we recommend keeping a digital-free zone. There will be time following the experience for guests to take pictures if desired.
Your Host
Amy Truong has over a decade of experience in food, wellness, and culinary operations. Amy is a Certified TAC Tea Sommelier® and a certificate holder specializing in Japanese tea from the Global Japanese Tea Association. Amy founded PARU in 2017 and actively contributes to the preservation of Japanese tea culture as a board member of Tankokai Urasenke San Diego.
