Please note: reservations for large party inquiries are taken on a case-by-case basis.
Each Tea Tasting reservation is priced at $75 per person with the total fee reflecting the party size. Payment is due upon receipt.
Reservations are intentionally limited and are offered on a monthly release basis. Availability is typically shared 2–3 weeks in advance, with select dates reserved for special programming and collaborations. New sessions are offered in limited number of dates each month.
Please note that availability may be released closer to the date as our schedule evolves. The booking page reflects all current openings.
More about this experience. This tasting is designed for both curious and experienced tea drinkers. Each session features a curated selection of specialty teas from under-represented regions, alongside original PARU blends.
Led by PARU Founder Amy Truong, each experience is guided in real time and shaped by the season, the teas, and the group. Guests are invited to explore the preparation and tasting of up to three seasonal teas.
If you are celebrating a special occasion or have any requests, please let us know in advance so we can thoughtfully prepare for your visit.
Free street parking is available along and around Girard Avenue.
Honoring a Digital-Free Zone. During each session, we recommend keeping the tasting a digital-free zone. There will be time following the experience for guests to take pictures if desired.
Changes to Your Reservation. Please contact us at (858) 750-3888 or send us a message at hello@paruteabar.com. Due to the reserved time for your booking and preparation, we will not be able to offer adjustments 48 hours before your booking time. If you are feeling sick or unwell, please protect yourself and others by staying home. Your reservation may be rescheduled to a future date upon availability.

Amy Truong has over a decade of experience in food, wellness, and culinary operations. Amy is a Certified TAC Tea Sommelier® and a certificate holder specializing in Japanese tea from the Global Japanese Tea Association. Amy founded PARU in 2017 and actively contributes to the preservation of Japanese tea culture as a board member of Tankokai Urasenke San Diego.
