Sipping on this medium-bodied Thai-grown oolong reminds us of the butteriness of roasted nuts, the smokiness of tobacco, and the sweetness of fresh fruits. Dong Ding oolong is originally made with the Qing Xin cultivar and grown on its namesake mountain in Taiwan, but this version comes from the ever popular Jin Xuan cultivar, which is sought after for its creamy texture. Good for 6+ infusions when brewed Gong Fu style.

      Grounded and earthy

This Oolong is for anyone who enjoys a buttery, nutty, creamy taste that is lightly balanced with some hints of fresh fruits. I enjoy this tea every morning as it is delicious and easy to make. I find the warming quality of the flavor to be very comforting and cozy, which eases my morning transition from sleep to getting going with life/work.

      A joy for the senses!

This Oolong is everything an oolong should be! A great tea that can be enjoyed and appreciated by the novice and the tea master. A beautiful combination of flavors with notes of buttery almond desserts. A must try for anyone who loves Oolong tea!

      Diverse Enjoyment

This oolong is, simply put, incredible. An ever-slight astringency and charcoal roughness compliments Dong Ding’s robust sesame and roasted nut profile, encouraging an oaky warmth through the senses.

Since mere happenstance led me to try this in cold brew form — I had mindlessly left the store bought tea filter in an iced water — I have enjoyed this oolong in a wide array of settings. Let us only mention that, despite retaining an oily quality of its own, Dong Ding’s pairing with fried rice rivals that of Jasmine Green.

      Great quality but too expensive

Flavor is great but the cost is simply too high
