"Ingat" ("take care" or "be careful" in Tagalog) is the inspiration behind this tangy, earthy, and floral tisane. With a base of ginger root from the Province of Batangas, Philippines, and sweet-sour kumquat, this herbal tea reminds us of salabat, a traditional Filipino herbal tea, with a touch of old-fashioned lemon drops.
Ingredients: ginger root, dried kumquat, lemongrass, Makrut lime
Hand-blended in small batches in the PARU Tea Lab in San Diego.
The ingat tea was a gift. But I had amazing help from Ren, he was kind, knowledgeable, sightful and had alot of patient with me. My sister and I can't wait to go there again-when we get paid again.
It tastes like the ginger tea my mom makes me drink when I'm sick, but it's got a citrus flavor to it too. If you follow the directions on the bag, the flavor isn't too strong. There's no caffeine, so you can rest well after drinking it.
I love the Ingat tea. It’s light and mild. The citrus and ginger together is lovely.
I was served this tea by a friend whose family lives in San Diego. I love ginger but have never before had a gingery tea that didn’t upset my stomach. Ingat is very nicely balanced with lemon and other florals and is very refreshing. It is so good that I ordered some for myself by mail.
