Black Lives Matter: Our Commitment to Change

We stand with our black community. ✊🏿

At the heart of PARU's mission as a company has always been to celebrated diversity among our team members and customers.

Our hearts have been heavy but more than that motivated to unite in this important fight for justice. We fight the long-term fight against systematic racism and police brutality. We fight because Black Lives Matter. 

Nationally, we've contributed to the Minneapolis Black Owned Business Help Fund, which we found on this Black Lives Matter - Places to Donate page. We're also grateful for the opportunity to partner with National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network (NQTTCN), an Oakland-based non-profit organization that seeks to increase access to healing justice resources for QTPoC, through tea box donations.

Locally, we are supporting black-owned restaurants and cafés in San Diego and encourage you to do the same. Find more businesses to support on Black Owned Eateries in San Diego, a live directory. We're also raising funds for the San Diego Black LGBT Coalition Saturday, 6/12 - 100% of our drink sales will go towards donation for their organization in support of the queer black community. 

We know this is not enough but we plan to improve, learn and grow so that we can help the voices of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and countless victims be heard. Black Lives Matter.
