About this experience
Saturday, April 5 at 10:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
Bow Hall, PARU La Jolla
RSVP required. Join us for an intimate, hands-on experience exploring 红泥 (hong ni or red clay) teaware from Chaozhou, China. Led by PARU founder Amy Truong, this event will showcase the unique craftsmanship of artisan Zhang Yongshun, whose red clay teapots embody centuries of tradition.
Guests will be guided through the Chaozhou brewing method while having the opportunity to practice using the teapots firsthand. Sample a selection of loose leaf teas from the Phoenix Mountain region and gain insights into how the teaware’s distinctive qualities enhance the brewing experience.
Spots for each time slot are limited to 3 guests to honor the traditional setting and create an intimate learning environment.
Whether you’re a seasoned tea enthusiast or curious about getting started in gong fu cha style brewing, this hands-on experience offers a unique chance to deepen your appreciation of Chaozhou tea culture.
*50% of the reservation fee may be applied to an in-store purchase after your reserved time slot.
