HOUSE-MILLED CEREMONIAL MATCHA 32
Every week, we produce a limited number of 30 g tins of our signature house-milled matcha.
We source hand-picked tea leaves from Kyoto (this matcha is made from a blend of the Okumidori and Samidori cultivars) and mill it fresh in our shop using our custom ishi usu (石臼, Japanese for "stone mill"). It takes about an hour to make enough for each tin, which is why we produce so few. The flavor profile is savory, nutty, and smooth.

I generally enjoy green and black teas, so this roasted green variant fused the best of the vegetal flavor of green with the robust earthiness of a black tea. I would recommend to any who are interested in a flavor between these poles. I appreciate the Paru team for pointing out this flavor as a challenge to what I am typically used to.

I'm truly loving this Hojicha Powder! It has such a good earthy, nutty flavor, it kind of reminds me of the flavor of sesame seeds. It's the perfect afternoon pick me up beverage.
